Moon Phases, Synonyms, & Antonyms
Students worked in small groups to complete a poster about each moon phase. We also had fun using Oreos to show the different phases of the moon.
We reviewed synonyms and antonyms this past week. Students made "synonym rolls". They chose a word and then wrote a swirl of synonyms.
We read The Foot Book and and searched for antonyms. Students then picked a word and found an antonym for it. They traced their own feet to show their antonyms.

It's TIME to practice for our math test!
I apologize I didn't post our weekly information yesterday...I left school early due to illness. I was back today, feeling much better though! We had fun with synonyms by making "synonym rolls". Then we read The Foot Book (which is full of antonyms), and students traced their own feet to put antonyms on. Pictures coming later this week!
We will have a Math test on Friday. Students must be able to: tell time to 5 minutes, know what half past means, know what quarter after and quarter to means, read and use a graph to answer questions.

Moon Phase Fun
This week we've been learning about the Moon and its phases. The students have done a fantastic job naming the phases and knowing what they look like. They even know the difference between waxing and waning! Today they got to show off what they know with these Oreo moon phases.
