Enjoy the looong weekend :)

We ended the week with such a great day! Hendricks had its first Friday school meeting. We will be doing this on the last Friday of every month. At these convocations, we will recognize our students of the month and more. Today in class students enjoyed English Muffins with cream cheese and strawberry jam just like the characters from this week's story, Mr. Putter & Tabby Pour the Tea.

Weekend Assignment:
Tell your parents what your favorite thing about this week was. Show them your behavior card for the week and GET IT SIGNED! If it is not signed on Tuesday, it is a mark on Responsibility, and that is NOT a fun way to start off the new week!

Remember! There is no school on Monday due to Labor Day. Have a safe and fun weekend!

Class News:
*We have a test tomorrow over our vocabulary words and our story.
*We took our first weekly Math quiz today. If a student receives a grade lower than a C-, the quiz will be sent home with a note. The note asks parents to help the student to re-do the missed problems and sign the quiz. It will need to be sent back to school the NEXT morning. The grade will not be changed. The purpose is to help the student learn from the mistakes so the next week's quiz will be better!

Please reveiw the rules with your child, sign the contract, and send it back to school. Students will not be allowed to use the iPads until I receive the signed contract.
